Day 1 – Airport – Negombo OR Chilaw

• Arrival @Colombo Airport
• Meet your Chauffeur Guide at the Airport; Check in to the Hotel & Relax
• Overnight Stay in Negombo OR Chilaw

Day 2 – Negombo OR Chilaw – Wilpattu

• After Breakfast leave to Wilpattu; Check in to luxury Mahoora Camp or Big Game Camp
• After Lunch by 1-30 pm leave on a evening safari in the Wilpattu National Park.
• Wilpattu National Park, is famous for leopards, sloth bear, water buffalo, deer and many birds including several kinds of Eagles . Wilpattu Covers an area of 131,000 hectares from the Northwestern coast to the north-central province, Wilpattu is one of Sri Lanka’s oldest wildlife park Situated away from the common tourist routs, Wilpattu is not as crowded like the other National parks and can be enjoyed at leisurely free from commotion. Ideally you need to do a full day safari considering the expanse of the park
• Stay Overnight in Wilpattu

Day 3 – Wilpattu – Anuradhapura

• Early morning by about 5.30am leave on a morning safari in the Wilpattu National Park with a picnic Breakfast
• Travel to Anuradhapura. Check in to a Hotel in Anuradhapura and relax

Day 4,5 & 6 – Anuradhapura – Trincomalee

• Visit Anuradhapura Ancient Capital; Anuradhapura was the first capital of Sri Lanka established in the 4th century BC. It was the royal capital till the 11th century AD spanning over a period of 1500 year and was ruled by 119 kings. Located in the north Central Province 206 km from Colombo The sacred city of Anuradhapura is a Magical Place featuring some of the most ancient archeological treasures in Sri Lanka. The vast heritage site is an impressive reminder of the ancient civilization.
• Leave for Trincomalee – Visit Mihintale on the way; Mihintale is considered as the “Cradle of Buddhism”, 11 K.M. east of Anuradhapura.
• Check in to the Hotel in Trincomalee & Relax
• Trincomalee, one of the oldest cities in Asia, boasts with the world’s deepest and largest natural harbor and is blessed with stretch of unpolluted beach which is comparable to Maldives.
• Overnight stays at Trincomalee

Day 7 & 8 – Trincomalee – Minneriya – Sigiriya

• Leave the Hotel at leisure and travel to Sigiriya
• Go on a Safari in Minneriya National Park on the way (Park Open from 2:30pm to 6:00pm).
• Check in to the Hotel & Relax
• Climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress after an early Breakfast. Take plenty of water and a snack with you.
• Sigiriya (Lion’s Rock) is an ancient Rock Fortress and Palace ruin situated in the central Matale District of Sri Lanka, surrounded by the remains of an extensive network of gardens, reservoirs, and other structures.
• Proceed with Hiriwadunna Village Trail [Please see the attachment for details]
• Explore the rural village “Hiriwadunna” from Sigiriya or Dambulla. Traveling by Safari Jeep into the Sri Lankan countryside, the tour begins with a beautiful trek to a manmade reservoir. After a boat ride, hop into a bullock cart alongside paddy fields and rural vegetable plantations to a traditional village house, where you will enjoy an authentic Sri Lankan lunch in a village home. Find the manmade reservoir, surrounded by scrub jungle and a hive or morning activity. look out for birds, butterflies, and perhaps even a crocodile as well as the villagers fishing or washing clothes at the periphery of the lake
• Stay Overnights at Sigiriya

Day 9 – Sigiriya – Kandy

• After Breakfast leave Proceed to Kandy; Visit a spice Garden on the way to see many different types of spices Sri Lanka is famous for. You will be introduced to different spices and shown how some of these spices are grown and processed.Visitors may buy spices, traditional remedies and cosmetics, taste an herbal brew and in some venues.
• Visit the Temple of Tooth Relic; Temple of Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex which houses the Relic of the tooth of Buddha. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country. Kandy is a UNESCO world heritage site partly due to the temple. Witness the offerings made to the Tooth Relic during the day; Morning offering made at 5.30 am to 7 am. Alms offered before Midday (lunch) at 9.30am-11am.Evening offerings begins at 6.30pm to 8pm
• Witness a Traditional Cultural Dance Show
• Go on a City Tour; Visit the Markets, Gem Museum, etc….
• Stay Overnight in Kandy

Day 10 & 11 – Kandy – Nuwara Eliya by Train

• In the morning after breakfast leave to Peradeniya Railway Station, and board the train and leave for NuwaraEliya Hills. Enjoy the picturesque journey from your Carriage, the train snaking its way through the mountains through the tea country. The Car will follow you to NanuOya, The Last Station before Nuwara Eliya
• Proceed by the Car to Nuwara Eliya; Nuwara Eliyais the land of peace, and silence was called the hill station by the English Tea Planters during the colonial era. This is a very picturesque location almost 1,950 Meters above sea level with its soft English spring climate. Yet you could see nostalgia of the British Colonial era the town is decorated with buildings ranging in style from Georgian to Queen Anne. Parks, Trout Streams, 18 holes Golf Course, in the evening stroll through the city.
• Trek in Horton Plains; Horton Plain is a hauntingly desolate, windswept plateau set at an elevation of over 2000 meters from the sea level. A world apart from rest of Sri Lanka the plains offer excellent trekking including a circular 9 Km walk to the Worlds end, where the hill plungeas dramatically for near 1000 m offering marvelous views of the Southern Sri Lanka on a clear day.
• Afternoon see the Lovers Leap water fall and a tea factory close to Nuwara Eliya
• Overnight stay at Nuwara Eliya

Day 12 & 13 – Nuwara Eliya – Colombo

• After Breakfast leave for Colombo; Visit the Tea Museum on the way
• Check in to a Hotel in Colombo and relax
• Go on a City Tour & Shopping in Colombo; Colombo with a history of over 600 years continued to grow under the Dutch and British, and today shows the marked influence of all those cultures from the Islamic mosque, the Catholic, Dutch Reformed and Anglican churches. You can see a 100-year-old clock tower and several British built colonial buildings, Hindu and a Buddhist temple, residential areas where you find the stately homes of the affluent, the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH); an outright gift to Sri Lanka from the People’s Republic of China, etc…
