Nature and Wild life

Day 1 – Airport | Colombo

• Pick up from the Katunayake International Airport and check in to a hotel in Colombo.

Day 2 – Colombo | Ratnapura | Sinharaja Rain Forest

• After breakfast leave for Ratnapura the Gem city where we get to see a gem museum and if possible also a Gem mine.
• Proceed to Sinharaja forest reserve via Kalawana.
• Overnight stay in Sinharaja.

Day 3 – Sinharaja Forest | Uda Walawe Sanctuary

• Go on a trek in the Rain forest the seventh UNESCO world heritage site.
• Proceed to Yala National Park.
• Overnight stay at Yala National Park.

Day 4 – Yala | Tangalle | Rekawa

• Go on a Safari in the Yala National Park which is the most popular Wild life sanctuary. You will also get to see the Yala Wild life sanctuary in the afternoon. See the large herds of elephants, spotted deer, sambur, barking deer, monkey, wild boar, wild buffalo, sloth bear and wide varieties of bird species native and migratory. Witness the majestic Peacock performing its mating dance with its colorful plumes spread.
• Proceed to Tangalle via Nonagama check in to a hotel by the beach in Tangalle.
• Overnight stay in Tangalle.

Day 5 – Tangalle

• Relax in Tangalle.
• Visit Mulkirigala Temple( Optional)tour.
• Stay overnight in Tangalle.

Tangalle has a four-mile-wide bay. It is a paradise for swimmers and divers. The most popular day excursion from Tangalle is to the stunning rock temple of Mulkirigala, 20km to the north where after ascending a series of rock steps you will reach few natural caves with numerous wall paintings and Buddha statues.

Day 6 – Tangalle

• Leave for Colombo Along the coastal line.
• Visit the historic Galle fort which is a world heritage site. The famous Arab Navigator Ibn Batuta landed in the Galle port and Galle became famous with the Spice traders from Arab. Stroll through the old buildings of the fort with a history dating back to 1587 when the Portuguese took Galle from the Sinhalese kings..
• Visit a Turtle Hatchery en route to Wadduwa/ Bentota.
• Overnight stay in Wadduwa/ Bentota.

Day 7 – Tangalle

• Relax on the Beach in Wadduwa/ Bentota.

Day 8 – Wadduwa | Airport

• Leave for the Airport.
