Day 1 – Airport – Negombo

• Arrival at Colombo Airport & Meet your Chauffeur Guide at the Airport and proceed to Negombo
• Check in to the Hotel & relax
• Overnight Stay : Negombo

Day 2 – Negombo – Wilpattu

• After Breakfast leave to Wilpattu; Check in to Big Game Camp
• Go on a evening safari in the Wilpattu National Park
• Wilpattu National Park, is famous for leopards, sloth bear, water buffalo, deer and many birds including several kinds of Eagles . Wilpattu Covers an area of 131,000 hectares from the Northwestern coast to the north-central province, Wilpattu is one of Sri Lanka’s oldest wildlife park Situated away from the common tourist routs, Wilpattu is not as crowded like the other National parks and can be enjoyed at leisurely free from commotion. Ideally you need to do a full day safari considering the expanse of the park.
• Stay Overnight at Big Game Campsite, Wilpattu

Day 3 – Wilpattu – Anuradhapura

• Travel to Anuradhapura after Breakfast – Visit Anuradhapura Ancient Capital; Anuradhapura was the first capital of Sri Lanka established in the 4th century BC. It was the royal capital till the 11th century AD spanning over a period of 1500 year and was ruled by 119 kings. Located in the north Central Province 206 km from Colombo The sacred city of Anuradhapura is a Magical Place featuring some of the most ancient archeological treasures in Sri Lanka. The vast heritage site is an impressive reminder of the ancient civilization.
• Visit Mihintale; Mihintale is considered as the “Cradle of Buddhism”, 11 K.M. east of Anuradhapura. Its history dates back to 247BC when King Devanampiyatissa met Arhath Mahinda the great Buddhist Missionary who preached the Buddhist doctrine to the King.

Day 4 – Anuradhapura – Polonnaruwa – Dambulla – Kandalama

• Breakfast at Hotel & proceed to Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site – Polonnaruwa Ancient Capital; the island’s medieval capital (11c & 12c) rose to fame after the decline of Anuradhapura kingdom. The city in its day was fortified with three concentric walls, beautified with parks and gardens and sanctified by many shrines. Polonnaruwa shows the interesting blend of the influence of the South Indian Hindu Culture on the Sinhala Buddhist Art and Architecture in the scattered shrines and monuments still venerated daily by devotees
• Proceed to Visit Dambulla Rock Caves Temple en-route; dating back to the 1st century BC, this is the most impressive cave temple in Asia. It has five caves under a vast overhanging rock, carved with a drip line to keep the interiors dry. Inside the caves, the ceilings are painted with intricate patterns of religious images following the contours of the rock
• Proceed to Kandalama; Check in to the Hotel & Relax
• Stay Overnight Sigiriya

Day 5 – Kandalama – Sigiriya – Hiriwadunna – Kandalama

• Climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress after Breakfast
• Sigiriya (Lion’s Rock) is an ancient Rock Fortress and Palace ruin situated in the central Matale District of Sri Lanka, surrounded by the remains of an extensive network of gardens, reservoirs, and other structures. A popular tourist destination, Sigiriya is also renowned for its ancient paintings (frescos), which are reminiscent of the Ajanta Caves of India. The Sigiriya was built during the reign of King Kassapa I (AD 477– 495), and it is one of the seven World Heritage Sites of Sri Lanka. Sigiriya may have been inhabited through prehistoric times.
• Proceed with Hiriwadunna Village Trail
• Explore the rural village “Hiriwadunna” from Sigiriya or Dambulla. Traveling by Safari Jeep into the Sri Lankan countryside, the tour begins with a beautiful trek to a manmade reservoir. After a boat ride, hop into a bullock cart alongside paddy fields and rural vegetable plantations to a traditional village house, where you will enjoy an authentic Sri Lankan lunch in a village home.

Day 6 – Kandalama – Kandy

• Breakfast at Hotel & leave for Kandy
• Visit a Spice Garden on the way to see many different types of spices Sri Lanka is famous for. You will be introduced to different spices and shown how some of these spices are grown and processed.
• Travel to Kandy – Visit the Temple of Tooth Relic; Temple of Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex which houses the Relic of the tooth of Buddha. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country. Kandy is a UNESCO world heritage site partly due to the temple. Witness the offerings made to the Tooth Relic during the day; Morning offering made at 5.30 am to 7 am. Alms offered before Midday (lunch) at 9.30am-11am. Evening offerings begins at 6.30pm to 8pm
• Witness a Traditional Cultural Dance Show
• Go on a City Tour; Visit the Markets, Gem Museum, etc….
• Stay Overnight in Kandy

Day 7 – Kandy – Nuwara Eliya

• After Breakfast visit Peradeniya Botanical Gardens; one of the best of its kind in the world. The many beautiful avenues will lead one to sections which provide a burst of topical colour. The best known attraction of the Garden is the Orchid House, which has more than 300 varieties of exquisite orchids from the rare indigenous Foxtail and Vesak orchids.
• Leave for Nuwara Eliya; See Waterfalls and Visit a Tea Plantation and a Factory on the way.
• Stroll through the Nuwara Eliya City; you could see nostalgia of the British Colonial era the town is decorated with buildings ranging in style from Georgian to Queen Anne, the famous Pink Post Office, Parks, Trout Streams, etc….
• Stay Overnight in Nuwara Eliya

Day 8 – Nuwara Eliya – Ella by Train

• Trek in Horton Plains; Horton Plain is a hauntingly desolate, windswept plateau set at an elevation of over 2000 meters from the sea level. A world apart from rest of Sri Lanka the plains offer excellent trekking including a circular 9 Km walk to the Worlds end, where the hill plunges dramatically for near 1000 m offering marvelous views of to the South. Afternoon see the Lovers Leap water fall – if time permits
• Proceed to Nanu Oya [Nuwara Eliya] Railway Station in time [time to be confirmed] for the Train to Ella; Nanu Oya – Ella is the most picturesque Railway stretch in the island. Vehicle will pick you from Ella Railway Station [Vehicle will follow you and pick up at the Ella Railway Station]

Day 9 – Ella

• Ella is a picturesque hill side town situated in the middle of Sri Lanka surrounded by beautiful mountains, tea plantations, and numerous varieties of flora and fauna. With a cool climate, marvelous views, and several things to do and see, Ella is fast becoming a favorite destination for travelers.
• Trek to Little Adam’s Peak, Ella Gap View, Lipton’s Seat, Demodara Nine Arch Bridge
• Little Adam’s Peak lays on the eastern edge of the Ella Gap, straight across from the (much higher) summit at Ella Rock, The views are similar, but from Little Adam’s Peak you can see the Rawana Falls, which border the highway headed south
• The Nine Arches Bridge is one of the most iconic bridges in Sri Lanka

Day 10 – Ella – Yala

• Breakfast at Hotel & leave Yala
• On the way – See Rawana Falls; Ravana falls visible from the Ella-Wellawaya Road, near Udunuwara village, a popular stop over for travelers.
• Visit Rawana Caves. The Ravana Cave is located about 2 km from the Ella town. It is quite a small cave, measuring about 50ft wide, 150ft long and 60ft high. History says that the cave is used by King Rawana to hide the Princess Sita
• Proceed to Yala
• Go on the Afternoon Safari in Yala National Park; Yala National Park is the most popular National park among the Locals and the foreign visitors. It is famous for Small and large herds of Elephants, Spotted Deer, Sambur, Barking Deer, Monkey, Wild Boer, Wild Buffalo, Sloth Bear and a wide varieties of bird species endemic and migratory.

Day 11 to 13 – Yala – Tangalle

• Breakfast at Hotel and travel to Dickwella
• Check in to the Hotel and relax
• Leave to your final stay in a Beach resort in the southern part of Sri Lanka. Crystal clear waters, unblemished scenery await you at Dickwella Beaches. Not too commercial or touristy, the beaches offer peace and quiet as you lie down on one of the sun beds lined up along the coast. You might be surprised to hear that whales and dolphins-even giant blue whales–live in the water off Mirissa beach, so keep your eyes open.

Day 14 – Dickwella – Galle

Day 15 – Galle to Airport
